About the tool
Useful criticism without the awkward favor
RoastMyResume is a free automated review for people who want a direct second opinion before they send another application.
Why a roast?
Most resume feedback fails in one of two ways: it is polite but vague, or harsh without being useful. The roast format gives the criticism enough edge to be memorable, then pairs it with a concrete editing direction.
The joke is never the product. The product is knowing which sentence to fix first.
Direct
Weak lines are named instead of buried in general encouragement.
Bounded
The tool reviews extracted text. It does not pretend to know your whole career.
Transparent
The scoring rubric, provider, and limitations are public.
How it works
The server extracts selectable text from your PDF, DOCX, or TXT file. That text—not a visual screenshot—is sent to a language model through Groq with a fixed review rubric. The response is validated before it is shown, and the temporary upload is removed when processing finishes.
Read the complete methodology and privacy policy for the exact boundaries.
What we will not claim
- The model is not a proprietary system trained on a private archive of successful resumes.
- A general ATS-readability score is not a simulation of every employer's software.
- No resume tool can guarantee an interview.
- Automated feedback is not a substitute for a knowledgeable person in your specific field.
